Nirmaan organization is a student-run NGO that was incepted by the students of BITS Pilani in the year 2005. With chapters in all the three campuses of the University, Nirmaan continues to set newer standards of social work in the streams of employment, education and health facilities in the chosen areas. Nirmaan’s Goa chapter, in particular, works throughout the year with its work divided into verticals to ease the structure of the organisation. Our members are divided into these verticals depending on the work they are interested to take part in. Apart from the weekly activities of its subdivisions, Nirmaan also organizes events like the Joy Of Giving Week (JoGW) better known as Daan Utsav, a week long session organized in the first semester filled with activities that give a chance to volunteers to interact with various aspects of social work and as the name suggests, spread joy. Nirmaan’s another event is called Udaan, a paralympic event that takes place in the second semester and provides an opportunity to people with special abilities to come forward and take part in various sporting activites like judo, table-tennis, running and more. Our motto continues to be ‘We have only one passion, the rise of a great nation’ and so, we aim to fill our members with a feeling of responsibility towards the society and push them to be the change they wish to see.
