  • Mr. Hardk Hingorani’s ( 2012B2A1636G)  research paper  co-authored with Prof. Ranjan Dey won the first position in the Alumni Affairs scholarship and awarded a scholarship of Rs. 10,000/-.
  • Avidipto chakraborty(2012B3A7506G) has scored a perfect 100 percentiles in CAT 2016.
  •  Student start up Project Mudra , led by Ms. Sanskriti Dawle and Mr. Aman Srivastava won the Great Tech Rocketship award by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) in March 2016. They also won Conquest 2016, an international startup conclave organised by BITS Pilani in September 2016. Conquest 2016 had 1200 start ups competing for the prize.
  • 25 students from BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus have been selected for Google Summer of Code for the year 2016. The campus had the second highest number of selections in India.
  • Avidipto Chakraborty selected for Business Analyst profile in McKinsey and Company. McKinsey and Company selects only 10-12 BA’s from the country every year.
  • Shivendu Shivam was the country’s top scorer in the Autumn Alphathon conducted by Worldquant Research (India) Private Limited.
  • Kartik Satyanarayanan (2013A7PS037) secured an internship at INRIA, Rennes in France. It’s a research organization which specializes in Computer Science research. He was one among the 25 selected in India for the Charpak Research Internship Scholarship funded by the French Government.
  • Stuti Rastogi (ID: 2011A7PS094G) has secured admission from the following 7 universities (all in top 20 ranks) for Fall 2016: Carnegie Mellon University, University of California, Berkeley, Cornell University, Georgia Tech University, University of California, San Diego, University of California, LA, University of Southern California.
  • Sumit Jain (2013A4PS385G) and his team participated in a competition SAE-SUPRA India held at Buddh International Circuit, Noida from 4th-9th july. They designed and manufactured a formula one type car in a budget of 9 lakhs. The event witnessed the participation of 180 teams from various engineering colleges all over India. Major Sponsors of BITS, Goa team were – Speed , Bharat petroleum, Solidworks, Hyperwork and Student associations of BITS .Apart from these, most of the amount was self funded by team members and some SAE- Supra club seniors.
  • ParthMadan(2014B1A4787G), Kartik Aggarwal (2014A3PS333G), SagarBildani (2014B5A3459G) and Shourya Bose (2014B4A3692G) were selected for the final round of the global social enterprise business model challenge, the HULT Prize supported by the Clinton Global Initiative. They were invited to pitch their business idea at the regional finals in Dubai held during 11-12 March 2016in Hult Business School, Dubai.
  • Varsheeth Talluri (2013A7PS045G) completed his Summer Research Internship at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, under the Viterbi-India Program, 2016. This program is a fully funded internship organised by Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), wherein 20 students from all over India are selected. Varsheeth worked on a Computer Vision & Machine Learning project titled ‘Blot Image Analysis and Extraction’, and was mentored by Prof. Premkumar Natarajan, Vice Dean, Viterbi School of Engineering.
  • Rachit Gupta (2013A3PS201G) from Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engg received MitacsGlobalink Scholarship (2016) for his internship at the University of Manitoba.
  • Ambareesh Rathi (2012B4A4412G) underwent a six month research internship at TU Delft, Netherlands. He worked on the EU H2020 project FALCON, which consists of 12 partners from 8 European countries. He was the only intern from India selected for this role. He worked in the Design Engineering department under project leader Dr. Wilfred van der Vegte, Assistant Professor, Industrial Design Engineering, TU Delft.

  • Rachit Aiyappa won the all Goa Tennis Tournament Organised by Goa Tennis Association at Cidade Goa, Panjim April 2016.
